"In my previous life, I worked for Environment Canada as a precipitation analyst. This job often took me across the country, speaking to regional meteorologists and environmentalists. They had a finger to the pulse of the local agricultural sector and I often heard negative feedback about the use of pesticides on crops- whether it was a direct health concern from a farmer handling the sprays or effects of GMO seeds on the soil and horticulture. This sparked my interest and inspired me to learn more about organic and what that means in Canada and for our long-term health. I enjoy cooking for family and friends and I never have leftovers after a dinner party- so that’s saying something!"
